Frequently asked questions

I can't hear any sound.

AlphaBot respects your device's silent mode. Turn the Ring/Silent switch to ring (or turn off Silent Mode in Control Center) and turn up the volume. Then check that Sound is on in Settings. Words still appear on screen when sound is off.

How do I open Settings?

On the main menu, tap the gear button and answer the grown-up question (a multiplication question). Then you can turn Sound and Music on or off and choose English, Français or Español.

Does AlphaBot need the internet?

No. Everything is built into the app and works offline.

Are there ads or purchases?

No. AlphaBot has no ads, no in-app purchases and no accounts.

The voice sounds robotic. Can it sound better?

AlphaBot uses the best voice installed on your device. For a more natural voice, go to Settings › Accessibility › Spoken Content › Voices on your iPhone or iPad and download an "Enhanced" or "Premium" voice for your language.

iPhone and iPad running a recent version of iOS or iPadOS.
